A half-day local tour

Pick a place to eat, a sight, and somewhere to rest.

Beginner · One practice about 5 min · Created by GameTalk · Edited

When to use this

Plan a half-day visit for a friend. Choose somewhere to eat, a sight, and a place to rest, and allow time to move between them.

Choose a role each and read the goal together. It is fine to start with the helpful expressions. After the conversation, switch roles and practise the same situation again.

Common mistakes and tips

Try it yourself

You only have two hours. Choose two of three stops and explain why.

Show an example answer

Example: “The restaurant and park are close together, so let us visit those first. We can try the café another time.” Explain your choice; there is no single correct itinerary.

After your practice

Write down one expression you used for the first time. Think of another situation where it would be useful, and try using it in your next conversation.
